I'm back! This is a short video (really, it's somewhat pathetic as the intro is almost as long as the content. I hope you like the intro anyway) that sort of announces my return to Quinntopia.
I've been distracted. You see, I found this pinball machine for sale back in March. I've always wanted a pinball machine. I got it cheap (about the price of Trix locomotive with a sound decoder) but it doesn't work. So for the past 9 months I've been restoring it and trying to understand how to make it work. It's almost done, but I missed my trains.
So there you go. Only time will tell to see if this is another famous Quinntopia false starts?
Well, as you can probably figure from my very slow progress on virtually everything, any more projects could kill me! I'm actually starting my own company (I work in advertising and after 25 years, have decided to 'be my own boss'!) which will also be taking up a lot of time. Ping me at on email and let's talk. quinntopia2 at gmail dot com
Enjoyed seeing the overview of your layout in the video and I'm glad you're back. I quite liked all your high-rise model construction posts from your previous layout and I'm looking forward to see how this layout develops.
That's going to be a big feature of this layout. It will detract from the intricacies of the train operations, but the city modelling with some trains is what I really enjoy! I'm looking forward to getting the track down and trains running so i can start to really put it all together!
Glad you did not quit. I’m about to embark on a project myself. Well together with my father that is. At age 33 and with some modeling experience under my belt it should turn out great. I'm looking forward to see your layout evolve even more.
Nope! Still here! I know what you mean...it's been almost 10 years since I started this blog and a lot of the blogs I followed when I first started have been pretty inactive for 5 or more years. Life has lots of distractions, I'm just grateful I still have the time to do some modelling!
Glad to see your back! This is DJ from EBay, still would like to do a project with you

DeleteGreat to see you back and it's cool to see the entire layout. Intro looks awesome although it is a little bit too long.
