And your absolutely right that these circuits should be protected....frying 20 LED's that are glued inside of a building is huge disaster waiting to happen!Jerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15454470373325096585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530989713679372474.post-22164357680587326142010-12-03T21:05:49.445-08:002010-12-03T21:05:49.445-08:00I've been meaning to comment, but for some rea...I've been meaning to comment, but for some reason my usual computer doesn't show the verification word.

Anyway, you're using almost exactly the same power supply for your LEDs as the one I bought (I have a 1.5 Amp one, but you got a much better price). I agree with your comments about use of a regulated supply. One thing I add: I run the output of the power supply through a 1 Amp automotive fuse (the little cylindrical kind you can get inline fuseholders for), to protect both the supply and the wiring in the event I create a short somewhere in my (planned) building lighting.Sumida Crossinghttp://www.sumidacrossing.org/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530989713679372474.post-70587362799936502242010-12-01T17:57:39.585-08:002010-12-01T17:57:39.585-08:00Jerry thanks for this post. Thanks for your time in sharing this with us.

Besides these led light strips have you ever considered using the mini florescent tubes from Micro Engineering? I've been tempted to buy a bunch of those as well.

Thanks again...and looking forward to post #2.

Bob
http://www.flickr.com/photos/55063726@N00/collections/72157612768739708/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
