I've been pretty lucky so far, mainly by trying to get a really solid feel for all the parts, how they are supposed to fit together, what I can do to modify them to get what I am looking for, and then carefully making marks and cutting away! I'm generally not as patient as I should be, but when I do these kind of building projects, I find the old adage of 'measure twice, cut once' to be good advice!Jerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15454470373325096585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530989713679372474.post-64447150844744546032009-07-10T10:39:28.438-07:002009-07-10T10:39:28.438-07:00Very impressive structure. It's the scratchbuilding that seems intimidating -- and the difficulty getting three or four of the same kit to mash together without first seeing plans to work from.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2530989713679372474.post-72506796443299750452009-07-06T18:57:27.257-07:002009-07-06T18:57:27.257-07:00I get most of my Japanese-only stuff primarily fro...I get most of my Japanese-only stuff primarily from "Plaza Japan" on eBay

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Plaza-Japan__W0QQ_armrsZ1

As a back up, I also use another Japanese hobby retailer on eBay called HitJapan

And in the rare occasion neither of those two have what I am looking for in stock, I use Hobbysearch in Japan.
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/rail/

I like the first two as I can use PayPal.
